A Walt Disney World Annual Pass makes financial sense for a specific type of visitor: someone who will visit the resort at least twice within a 12-month period, or a Florida resident visiting more frequently. Outside of that core use case, the math usually doesn't work in your favor compared to purchasing individual date-based tickets.

The four Annual Pass tiers

Prices listed are current as of June 2026 and subject to change. Always verify current pricing at disneyworld.com before purchasing.

Pixie Dust Pass — $489 plus tax Florida residents only. Blocked out on weekends year-round, all peak season dates, and major holiday periods. Only viable for Florida residents who can visit exclusively on weekdays during non-peak periods. Approximately 175 days of availability per year.

Pirate Pass — $869 plus tax Florida residents only. More availability than the Pixie Dust Pass — weekends are available during slower periods, with blockout dates concentrated on summer, spring break, and holiday periods. Approximately 265 days of availability per year.

Sorcerer Pass — $1,099 plus tax Available to Florida residents and Disney Vacation Club members. Approximately 330 days per year with blockout dates primarily on the absolute peak periods: Christmas/New Year's stretch, Thanksgiving week, and the busiest spring break weekends. For Florida residents or DVC members who visit regularly, this is often the sweet spot.

Incredi-Pass — $1,629 plus tax Available to all guests. No blockout dates — valid any day of the year. The only pass that works for out-of-state visitors planning multiple trips or visiting during peak periods.

Who should buy an Annual Pass

Florida residents visiting 3 or more times per year. A Pirate or Sorcerer Pass pays for itself quickly. At $869 for the Pirate Pass, two visits that would otherwise cost $400 to $500 in tickets each already approach breakeven.

Out-of-state families planning two trips within 12 months. Two 4-day trips generate roughly $1,100 to $1,400 in per-person ticket costs for one adult. At that scale, the Incredi-Pass at $1,629 starts to pencil out, particularly with pass holder discounts on merchandise and dining factored in.

Disney Vacation Club members. DVC members get access to the Sorcerer Pass tier without the Florida resident requirement, at a price meaningfully below the Incredi-Pass.

The breakeven calculation

If the regular ticket total plus realistic discount savings exceeds the pass price, the pass makes sense.

Annual Pass perks that actually matter

Free parking at theme parks. Standard theme park parking is $35 per day and is included with an Annual Pass — a meaningful saving for frequent visitors. Note that Disney Springs self-parking is complimentary for all guests regardless of pass status, so that is not an AP-specific benefit.

Merchandise discounts. Typically 10 to 20 percent at most Disney retail locations. For families who buy Disney merchandise across multiple visits, the cumulative savings is real.

Dining discounts. Typically 10 percent at most table-service restaurants. Over a multi-day visit with multiple table-service meals, this adds up.

Resort hotel discounts. Pass holders frequently receive discounted room rates during promotional periods — typically 10 to 30 percent on qualifying dates.

Early Entry is NOT an annual pass benefit. Early Entry is available to Disney Resort hotel guests, not annual passholders. AP holders staying off-site do not get Early Entry.

The honest summary

For most out-of-state families making a single trip per year, individual tickets are the better value. The Incredi-Pass at $1,629 per adult requires a very specific visiting pattern to justify. For Florida residents visiting multiple times per year, a Sorcerer or Pirate Pass makes strong financial sense and transforms the Disney relationship — you can visit for a few hours without needing to extract maximum value from every visit.
