Every Disneyland guide gives you a list of must-do rides. This one gives you something more useful: a frank ranking of which attractions are worth your time, which ones are overrated, and which ones can be safely skipped without regret.
Tier 1 — Protect these at all costs
1. Radiator Springs Racers (DCA, 40 inches) — The best ride at the entire Disneyland Resort. The combination of storytelling, speed, and visual detail is exceptional. Single rider line is the smart move for groups who can split up.
2. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance (Disneyland Park, 40 inches) — The most technically ambitious attraction Disney has ever built. A 20-minute experience that moves through multiple rooms, multiple ride vehicles, and a story that makes you feel genuinely inside a Star Wars film. Single Pass only.
3. Indiana Jones Adventure (Disneyland Park, 46 inches) — A Disneyland exclusive. One of the most physically dynamic, visually dense dark rides ever built.
4. Haunted Mansion (Disneyland Park, no height requirement) — Fifty years of refinement have produced a dark ride that other parks still try and fail to replicate.
5. Pirates of the Caribbean (Disneyland Park, no height requirement) — Two drops, a battle sequence, burning town, and more animatronic detail per square foot than almost any other Disney attraction.

Tier 2 — Strong rides worth prioritizing
6. Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout (DCA, 40 inches) — A drop tower with rotating random soundtracks from the Guardians films.
7. Matterhorn Bobsleds (Disneyland Park, 35 inches) — A classic Disneyland coaster with a distinctive mountain structure and the Yeti.
8. Space Mountain (Disneyland Park, 40 inches) — The indoor coaster remains one of Disneyland's most loved attractions.
9. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (Disneyland Park, 40 inches) — Fast, fun, and approachable.
10. Incredicoaster (DCA, 48 inches) — The resort's most conventional steel coaster — fast, smooth, legitimately exciting.
Tier 3 — Worth doing, not worth rushing
11. Tiana's Bayou Adventure (Disneyland Park, 40 inches) — The Princess and the Frog water ride opened in November 2024 to strong early reviews.
12. WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure (DCA, no height requirement) — The best family ride in Avengers Campus.
13. Soarin' Across America (DCA, 40 inches) — The 2026 retheme gives the beloved hang-gliding simulator a new American-focused film.
14. Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run (Disneyland Park, 38 inches) — The Mandalorian-rethemed version gives the ride a fresh narrative.
Rides you can skip
Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage — Not worth planning your day around.
Autopia (54 inches to drive solo) — The futuristic car ride concept is dated. Skip on most visits.
More magic.
