Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party is worth it for families who want the most concentrated Disney Christmas experience available anywhere — the exclusive parade with simulated snowfall on Main Street, the dedicated holiday fireworks, the complimentary cookies and hot cocoa, and a Magic Kingdom that feels genuinely festive.

If your primary goal is ride efficiency, a regular park day with rope drop will serve you better at lower cost. The party is about the experience of Christmas at Disney, not about maximizing attractions.

What is Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party?

Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP) is a separately ticketed, after-hours event held at Magic Kingdom on select evenings from November through late December. The 2026 dates have not yet been officially announced as of early June 2026. The party runs from 7 PM to midnight, with event ticket holders able to enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4 PM. In 2025, adult tickets ranged from $169 to $229 per person (plus tax). Every party night in 2025 sold out. Buy tickets as soon as they go on sale.

What's included with the ticket

Mickey's Once Upon a Christmastime Parade features Mickey and friends in holiday costumes, the iconic toy soldiers, beloved Disney characters, and Santa Claus closing the procession. Runs twice per night.

Simulated snowfall on Main Street U.S.A. happens during and after the parade — snow-like flurries falling over Main Street while holiday music plays.

Minnie's Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks is a dedicated holiday fireworks spectacular with Christmas music and festive imagery.

Mickey's Most Merriest Celebration is the stage show at Cinderella Castle featuring Mickey, Minnie, and friends.

Complimentary treats — cookie and hot cocoa stations throughout Magic Kingdom, included in your ticket.

Character meet-and-greets in holiday costumes — characters appear in their Christmas outfits, some available only at MVMCP.

Which night should you go?

Best value and lower crowds: Early November dates. Same parade, same show, same snowfall at lower prices.

Best atmosphere: Mid-to-late December. Holiday energy peaks as Christmas approaches.

Best balance: Weeknight dates in mid-to-late November after Thanksgiving week.

Avoid: Saturday nights in December, particularly the final two weekends before Christmas.

How to plan your party night

Arrive at 4 PM. Use those hours to ride attractions with lighter waits before the party crowd arrives at 7 PM.

Watch the second parade. The later parade draws a smaller crowd than the first showing.

Find the snowfall on Main Street. Position yourself on Main Street during the parade for the simulated snow effect.

Ride in the final two hours. By 10 PM most guests have seen the parade and fireworks — ride waits drop significantly.
